AI Session Meter Privacy Policy

AI Session Meter ("the app") is a macOS menu bar utility that displays your Claude Code usage. AI Session Meter is an independent app and is not affiliated with Anthropic. This policy explains what data the app handles.
What the app stores
- Access token. To show your usage, you provide an access token. The token is stored locally on your Mac, inside the app's sandboxed Application Support container. It never leaves your device except to communicate with Anthropic's servers (see below).
- The app does not require you to create an account with the developer.
- Codex usage (optional). If you enable Codex usage, the app reads your local OpenAI Codex CLI session logs from a folder you explicitly grant (e.g.
~/.codex). This data is read locally to display usage and is never transmitted off your device.
Network connections
- The app sends your access token only to Anthropic's official servers (anthropic.com / claude.com) to retrieve your usage data.
- The app makes no other network connections.
What the developer collects
- Nothing. The developer (Yuya Otake) does not collect, receive, store, transmit, or have access to your token, your usage data, or any personal information. The app contains no analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs.
Data sharing
- The app does not share any data with the developer or any third party. The only recipient of any data is Anthropic, via its official API, at your direction.
Data deletion
- Removing an account in the app deletes its stored token from your Mac.
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
Children
- The app is not directed to children and collects no personal information.
